Join us in CCM’s Watson Recital Hall to watch a concert that is simulcast from the University of Oklahoma School of Music.
The viewing features the world premiere of No One Saves the Earth from Us But Us, a major song cycle commissioned by CCM Voice Professor Quinn Patrick Ankrum, mezzo-soprano; and Elizabeth Avery, pianist; and written by award-winning composer Lisa Neher with poetry by Felicia Zamora and Craig Santos Perez. The song cycle is generously funded by the UC Office of Research. The concert also features the world premiere of Earth Elements by Ioannis Andriotis, commissioned by Avery and tenor Joel Burcham, for piano, vocals, electric guitar, percussion and live electronics.
