Cheers to 140-Years | Rookwood Pottery Hands-On Tour + Beer Tasting

Since the first pieces were pulled from the kiln on Thanksgiving Day in 1880, our artists have continued Rookwood’s 140-year tradition of transforming earthen materials into works of art. In celebration of our Heritage Month, come join us in the studio on Saturday, July 10 for a special hands-on tour and beer tasting! Our artisan experts will guide you through glazing your very own Heritage Mug and Cincinnati Suds Expert, Mike Morgan, will also be here to host a tasting of West Side Brewing Company’s variety of delicious brews!

Following the tour, guests will have the opportunity to shop in our showroom, where Mike will have signed copies of his book, “Cincinnati Beer” available!

Tour Times: Saturday, July 10  at 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

(The beer tasting will be held collectively from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m.)

Ticket Details: Tours are limited to 24 guests. Tickets are $95 per person and includes one Heritage Mug and tasting. You can dip two Heritage Mugs for $145.

Pick-Up: Guests will have the opportunity to pick-up their finished Heritage Mug from our OTR Showroom on August 5.

For the health and safety of our team, as well as you and your loved ones, we have aligned our studio and showroom following CDC guidelines and ask that everyone who attends the tour wear a mask inside and adhere to safe distancing for the duration. Hand sanitizer will be provided at numerous stations throughout.  Please wear closed-toed shoes to your tour as you will explore where production is in process.
