Hamilton County Commissioner Alicia Reece, Founder of the Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame invites you to the Induction & Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, July 22.
This will be a community celebration that is FREE to the public thanks to private sponsors/partners and begins at 11 a.m.
The 2023 Induction Ceremony will honor the 2024 inductees followed by a stars dedication ceremony and live performance. During the July 22 event, four of the stars will be unveiled in the ground honoring the 2022 inductees Penny Ford, Midnight Star, Hi Tek and Wilbert Longmire. This event will be held during the Cincy Music Festival Weekend.
What makes a star? Passion? Originality? Perseverance? For the Black music icons from Hamilton County, it started with a dream. Followed by the tenacity to never quit until that dream was a reality. Join us and experience greatness so close and personal… you can touch it.
Founded in 2021 by Hamilton County, the Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame debuted in Summer 2022 at The Andrew J. Brady Music Center at the Banks in Cincinnati. We recognize the music created by those with Hamilton County and Southeastern Ohio roots has impacted funk, opera, hip-hop, gospel, R&B, rock, and more. Our interactive walk celebrates the power of music, the artists, and the creative reach of our region.
