The Cincinnati Community Orchestra celebrates Star Wars Day (May 4th) with a program of music from the movies: Korngold’s Cello Concerto (Jennifer Carpenter, cello), and film music by Shostakovich, Prokofiev, & John Williams’ Star Wars Suite.
On Saturday, May 4 2024 at 7:30 PM, the Cincinnati Community Orchestra celebrates Star Wars Day with its fourth and final concert of the season with a program of music from the movies. The orchestra welcomes back Jennifer Carpenter (a CCO alum who now plays with the Rochester Philharmonic) to perform Korngold’s Cello Concerto. The program also includes film music by Shostakovich and Prokofiev, and will use the force in John Williams’ Star Wars Suite. The CCO performs at Church of the Saviour United Methodist, 8005 Pfeiffer Rd. Concert and parking are free.
