Contributions

Contributions is a regional exhibition highlighting eight artists living in Ohio who continue to
demonstrate their dedication to working in clay. Much like small tributaries gain momentum as each
individual water path gathers energy and flows collectively into larger bodies of water, these artists have been
shaped by those who have come before them and nurtured by the world around them. As the
current deepens and the river widens, they, in turn, are compelled to cultivate, inspire, and
encourage the next generation of clay artists. Whether these makers are stewards of
traditional methods or shifting the current with new innovations, their work is responsible for
influencing others beyond the present moment in time. Contributions explores these artists’
diverse bodies of work and showcases their unique visions, methods, and techniques.
