We aim to empower and enlighten: Through song, we advocate for the autonomy of our bodies and uplift our differences through lenses of gender, size, disability, and race, by composers who live in these spaces themselves.
This year, MUSE: Cincinnati’s Women’s Choir centralizes the honoring of our bodies and celebrates how they are physical manifestations of our diverse identities.
We aim to empower and enlighten: Through song, we advocate for the autonomy of our bodies and uplift our differences through lenses of gender, size, disability, and race, by composers who live in these spaces themselves.
From incisive texts about society’s need for change to tongue-in-cheek messages about body image, our program spans the gamut of genres from pop, protest anthem, and choral art song. We look forward to sharing this celebration with our audience and to move those who sing with and hear us to work for our autonomy of physical identities and expressions.
Join us January 26 at 7:30 & January 27 at 3:30 in the Probasco Auditorium on the campus of University of Cincinnati, in partnership with the UC Women\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’s Center for their Body Justice Week.
