Essex Studios Spring Artwalk with 40 open artist studios, special guest artists, live music, taco truck, deserts, art contest winners paintings displayed, speakers on bees, pollinators, and soil preparation, party with the artists. Free admission.
Essex Studios Spring Artwalk is coming on Friday May 12 and Saturday May 13 from 6 to 10 PM both nights! More than 40 Artists will be opening there normally closed studios to the public! You can talk with artists and see their latest work. Also a few select guest artists will be participating. We have live music and taco truck for dinner or snacks! Its a fun crowd!
The theme of the May 12 and 13 2023 Artwalk is ” What’s The Buzz” at the Essex!
We will be celebrating and learning about Bee’s, Pollinators and their Natural habitats.
On Friday May 12 in the main auditorium Justina Block of the Osmia Bee Company located in the Essex Studios Building and Cincinnati Zoo Horticulturist Jerome Stenger will be speaking about Mason Bees, Pollinators and Natural Habitats. At 7PM.

On Saturday May 13 in the main auditorium our Guest Speaker is Caroline Scalzo from the CIVIC GARDEN CENTER OF GREATER CINCINNATI, right around the corner from Essex Studios. Caroline will be speaking about preparing a garden’s soil for the upcoming season to help native plants including native plants helpful to our bee and other pollinator friends. At 7PM.

We are also Holding a “What’s the Buzz” Art Contest. The 80 Essex studio artists and guest artists will be allowed to submit artworks along the theme. Prizes will be awarded by an independent judge. All artworks will be displayed for visitors to enjoy. Come see the bee art!

There is parking in the Essex lot and in several nearby lots (Union Institute, 440 E. McMillan; Dialysis Clinic, 499 E. McMillan; and Dohn High School, 608 E. McMillan).
