GCDA 2023 Exhibition: Brushstrokes & Beyond
Come see the Greater Cincinnati Decorative Artists (GCDA) 2023 Exhibition: Brushstrokes & Beyond – A Showcase of Fine Art & Decorative Painting. The exhibition runs from July 14 to August 25, 2023 at the Fairfield Community Arts Center.
GCDA presents a month-long exhibition of decorative painting and fine art starting July 14 through August 25, 2023 at the Fairfield Community Arts Center’s Art Gallery, located at 411 Wessel Drive, Fairfield, Ohio 45014.
The Gallery is open during the Center’s normal business hours, and the exhibition is free.
Marian Jackson, MDA, will be judging the entries and awards will be given for first and second place in the categories of original and pattern works, and honorable mentions.
There will be an artist reception on Friday, July 14th from 6 to 8 pm with complimentary refreshments, hors d’ oeuvres and a cash bar.

GCDA’s goal is to promote an interest in decorative art and painting and to provide programs to increase learning and skills within a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
We are always seeking to expand our artistic skills, learn new techniques, and experience different products. We host monthly workshops after a membership meeting, and annually hold a seminar in the fall and a three-day painting retreat every April.
Our members have beginner through advanced artistic skills in one or more of the various art mediums: acrylics, oils, colored pencil, watercolor, pen and ink, and mixed media. Some members teach and some sell their artwork, but we all paint for the joy and satisfaction of creating art.
Decorative Painting is highly teachable and opens the door to artistic creativity for anyone who wants to learn.
