Participants in SHOW OF HANDS workshops can choose to share their new short-form puppet shows in the SHOW OF HANDS Puppet Slam, a high-energy, supportive, celebratory puppetry showcase.
As a grand finale to the first-ever, SHOW OF HANDS Puppet Festival, we invite our community to witness the SHOW OF HANDS Puppet Slam, a high-energy, supportive, celebratory puppetry showcase! Through the SHOW OF HANDS Puppet Festival, we hosted free workshops on different forms of puppetry with professional puppeteers and Visionaries + Voices teaching artists. At the SHOW OF HANDS Puppet Slam, we will give workshop participants and puppeteers in Cincinnati the opportunity to perform short plays in front of an audience of puppet enthusiasts!
Through puppetry, we will unleash the uninhibited artist inside all of us. A puppet show is like a hearth; people gathered for warmth and connection. In the darkness, a warm light illuminates the audience’s faces. Together, we share an experience of wonder, imaginations wild, and hearts full.
