Stories + Beauty in the Grove
Inspired by the art, architecture, and history of Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum.
Inspired by the art, architecture, history and landscape of Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum, V+V artists have spent the last six months, visiting SGC, and collecting inspiration to bring back to the studio in order to make art in response to the rich history of the grounds. Artists have attended lectures lead by Phil Nuxhall, Spring Grove historian and participated in workshops lead by area artist Kate Ball learning new media techniques. This exhibition will feature work created by both studios using a variety of media, including video and sound, based on listening to the stories and experiencing the beauty in the Grove.
A special book signing of Stories In the Grove with author, Phil Nuxhall will take place at the opening reception. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
The Arts of America Marketplace will be open and full of bargains. And don’t forget to check out our new V+V merchandise!
