Open mic-style salon, focused on themes of resistance & resilience. Come with poetry, storytelling, music, etc.
The French salon had a profound role in developing cultural & intellectual life, providing a platform for social issues its participants were concerned with — in contrast to other forums at the time, often including women & those pushing artistic boundaries.
On August 6th from 2:00 – 4:00pm EST, The Well alongside 2023 Wellspring Fellow & poet Elena Estella Green will be hosting an open mic-style salon both in person at Camp Washington & virtually, focused on themes of resistance & resilience. We invite a variety of artistic mediums: poetry, music, dance, storytelling, & more. All are welcome to watch, listen, & participate if they desire.
