Curated to highlight the various cultural influences that merged into a uniquely creative sensibility, these emerging and contemporary artists along with the geographic dispersion of the artists captures individual artistry yet conveys a united contemporary flow.
Curator Randi Pacheco O’Brien is a multiracial ceramic artist, historian, curator, writer, and educator from the Rocky Mountains. She is Associate Professor of ceramics and art history at Montana State University (Billings), and editor of Studio Potter periodical publication. O’Brien’s art and curations have been exhibited across the United States and globally, and her research has been published in Ceramics Monthly, Ceramics Ireland, Ceramics Art and Perception: Technical, and Studio Potter.
Wash Pash Art Gallery is proud host to this NCECA promoted exhibit. “CURRENT 2023,” NCECA’s 57th annual conference is in Cincinnati, OH March 15-18, 2023. Current 2023 features dozens of presenters, demonstrations, networking opportunities and exhibitions. Sponsored exhibitions include the NCECA Annual, Multicultural Fellowship Exhibition, and the NCECA Juried Student Exhibition. In conjunction with the NCECA-sponsored exhibitions the organization also promotes nearly 100 concurrent exhibitions throughout Greater Cincinnati.
