Monday Musicale is a new classical music concert series here at the Oxford Community Arts Center! Starting on July 22, join us for an hour of free classical music in the ballroom at 6:30pm! Reception to follow.

Our final concert this summer will feature Miami University professor Harvey Thurmer, violin and guest pianist Allan Manhas. Violinist Harvey Thurmer thoroughly enjoys an intense and varied career as a soloist, concertmaster, chamber musician and pedagogue.

Allan Duarte Manhas is a Brazilian prize-winning concert pianist. He has performed in Europe, USA and South America, in such venues as the Curt-Sachs-Saal in Berlin, the Scriabin Museum in Moscow, the Chopin House in Zelazowa Wola, the Georg Friedrich Handel House in Halle, and the Mendelssohn House in Leipzig. After several years as an Assistant Professor at the Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, he moved to Berlin, where he currently holds a teaching position for piano in the State Music Schools Leo Kestenberg (Tempelhof-Schöneberg) and Fanny Hensel (Central).
