The Oxford Community Arts Center (OCAC) is a nonprofit fine & performing arts center housed in the historic Oxford College for Women. We are supported by individual donations, granting organizations such as ArtsWave, and earned income.

The OCAC has a clear mission with enduring values: to ENRICH lives through a diverse array of cultural programming, to PRESERVE the historic 173-year-old Oxford College building, and to ENSURE our ability to serve future generations in their pursuit of the arts, and this provides a strong sense of direction and helps to prioritize our activities.

In 1998, 12 arts-minded residents and former Miami University faculty and staff formed a steering committee to save and restore the Oxford Female Institute. Community needs for an arts facility had long been identified, and Miami University was about to dispose of the large, historic building. The group was incorporated as the Oxford Community Arts Center on October 29, 2001, and entered into a 50-year lease with Miami University in April 2002.

For over 20 years, the OCAC stands as a vibrant cultural asset of the City of Oxford and the Great Oxford area.
