Family Music Workshop | Growing Sound

Family music is fun, but did you know that music also plays a crucial role in the social and emotional development of children? From infancy to early childhood, engaging in musical activities can have a profound impact on a child’s social skills, emotional well-being, and overall cognitive growth. Designed for children, family, caretakers, and child development professionals to enjoy together, the original songs and interactive activities in our new programming are pulled right from research to help children:

Build perseverance and intellectual growth
Develop self-confidence, social interaction, and self-regulation
Alleviate anxiety and promote well-being
Prevent childhood bullying
Help cognitive brain development
Develop a sense of belonging
Develop coping skills in stressful times
Know their own strength by using character science.

“Self-talk” songs help children internalize a positive dialogue about themselves, other people, and the world. “Experiential” songs help children experience and practice the emotional control skills we want them to learn. “Story” songs help them step into the shoes of another and begin the essential skill of empathy. Finally, “concept” songs help teach more abstract social skills.

While this program is best for families with young children, ages 3-6, older and younger siblings can benefit and participate, bring the whole family!

Dates: Feburary 17th through April 27th | 200 for one parent and child, 100 for every extra child|
