Celebrate Earth Day and International Sculpture Day with Pyramid Hill and university partners!

Celebrate Earth Day and International Sculpture Day with Pyramid Hill as we host a day focused on creativity and conservation! Enjoy a panel discussion from local artists who are thinking through sustainability in their work, view new environmentally-focused works from students of University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program, the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and Miami Hamilton, and search for woodland creatures in a very special scavenger hunt!

12PM – 5PM

Student Presentations and Scavenger Hunt @ Gallery Museum

Stop by the Museum to hear from students from University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program, the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and Miami Hamilton about their new works, and join in on a student-created scavenger hunt featuring charismatic creatures!

1PM – 2:30PM

Adult Workshop: Container Gardening with Native Plants

PAID, $20 members, $30 non-members (includes daily admission); Pre-registration required

Learn how to grow native plants, even in small spaces, in this workshop led by Casey Sumner of Sustainable Sights Landscaping. Get hands-on experience with container planting as you discover common native garden plants and their benefits to bees, birds, and beyond. Participants will take home a few native plants to get their own gardens started! This program is best suited for adults and teens. Tools and gloves will be provided. Ticket price includes at least two native plants to take home.

3PM – 4PM

Panel Discussion: Art and Sustainability @ Gallery Museum

FREE WITH ADMISSION

How can art influence sustainability, and how can sustainability influence art? Hear from local sculptor Roscoe Wilson, painter Devan Horton, and fiber artist Amber Ostaszewski about the roles that nature and environmental conservation play in their work.
