AfroSwag Hair and Fashion Show

AfroSwag Hair and Fashion Show is an annual event that showcases African-American and African Fashion Design Artists, Hair Design Artists, Visual Artists, Dancers, Singers, Musicians, Crafters, Multi-Media Artists, Models and more. AfroSwag is a 5 hour event that includes a vendors market showcasing small minority owned businesses. Speakers, performers and the biggest culturally influential hair competition and fashion show in the city. Our event brings everyone together from Celebrity Designers to Nationally Recorded Artists – from all over the country but especially from Cincinnati that want to showcase their talents and designs on the Afroswag stage.

The 2024 AfroSwag production features the Pre-show, AfroIjo – A Dance Story exploring the connection between African Dance Rituals and Fashion in the CAC Upstairs galleries and features The AfroSwag AfterParty hosted by Nigerian Artist DJ TiizieB and AfroArt Exhibition collaboration project with Contemporary Arts Center (on display until June 24th) in the CAC Black Box Theater.

Come see the Midwest’s Top Natural Hair Stylists and Fashion Designers Slay in some of the latest and greatest trends in Black Hair. Also experienced Fashion Designers from here to Africa showcase original AfroCentric Fashion and Accessories on the runway.

Sweet Sistah Splash has partnered with ArtsWave, Duke Energy Foundation, Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber Foundation and the Contemporary Arts Center to bring AfroSwag Hair and Fashion Show to the Midwest, celebrating the Beauty of Black Hair and Fashion at the Contemporary Arts Center May 25th 2024.
