Award-winning writer and activist Nikki Giovanni is the Keynote Speaker at the Women’s Fund’s A Conversation With…Nikki Giovanni Signature fundraising event.
Award-winning writer and activist Nikki Giovanni is one of the most celebrated poets of our time. Known for her beautifully vivid writing surrounding themes of family, love, politics and home, she has an intense appreciation for African-American culture and heritage. Nikki Giovanni, will be the keynote speaker for the Women’s Fund’s signature fundraising event on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cintas Center.
General Admission tickets are $50. At the event, guests will enjoy a pre-party celebration with networking, light bites, open bar and a DJ. Within the program, guests will enjoy an opening act and listen to Giovanni’s keynote followed by a conversation with an interviewer.
Host/Hostess tickets are $250 and include an elevated experience that includes your name listed on the program, reserved seating options, an invitation to the VIP reception following the main event, an opportunity to meet Giovanni, and an exclusive invitation to the Women’s Fund Appreciation Reception.

The Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation is postponing our annual fundraiser, A Conversation With…Nikki Giovanni. New plans will be shared soon, as will details for supporters who have already purchased tickets. Rest assured, we will work with you in a flexible way. As you can imagine, the decision was a difficult one to make. This event is not only a fun highlight to our year, but it is also a fundraising engine that fuels our work. As we still do not know the trajectory of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, the decision ultimately came down to our belief that we are your Women’s Fund. We have a duty to you, and our community to prioritize your health, and the health of our city. Let me assure you that your Women’s Fund is more active than ever and we are taking a leadership role in responding to this pandemic. As you know, our mission is to identify and address the barriers to self-sufficiency and we know that low-income women are going to be disproportionately affected by this pandemic.
