Our Quest for Meaning: Music, Science and Wonder.
Join us for an evening of music, wonder, and inspiring conversation. This event will be the starting point for The Wonder Commission– a new music commission for The Well’s Mindful Music Moments program.
Alan Lightman, writer, physicist, and professor at MIT, will join contemporary composer Dr. Brian Raphael Nabors in a wide-ranging conversation about time, the cosmos, nature, and meaning. Conversation will be facilitated by The Well Executive Director & Found Stacy Sims, with interstitial music performed by The Antigone Music Collective. Introductions by astronomer Dean Regas and retired nuerosurgeon Dr. John Tew.
Lightman’s recent three-part PBS special, Searching: Our Quest for Meaning in the Age of Science, is a great primer to the night’s conversation.
Space is limited for this intimate and inspiring evening.
