ArtLocal Art Show

ArtsConnect brings the community together with a two-day celebration of the arts. This year the show will be at The Grove Event Center, themed as a Modern Spin on The Jazz Age .  The Grove is  located at 9158 Winton Road, Building B. (Behind the Arts Center)  The beautiful event center will will hold a gallery of artwork from residents of the community and surrounding cities.

The art show will kick off on Friday, October 6 with a themed evening artist reception. We will embrace The Grove’s history of a 1930’s open air dance hall and reminisce to the days of speakeasies.  Meet the artists, enjoy desserts and live music, and show your support of ArtsConnect in the silent auction and raffle. An artist awards ceremony will be held at 9pm.  There will be artistic performances and a few added surprises!  Most of the artwork will be available for sale with full proceeds benefiting local artists.

The gallery will reopen on Saturday, October 7 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  for art lovers to take a closer look and enjoy the art at their leisure.

All ArtLocal artwork will be entered for the show’s three cash awards; 1st place will win $250, 2nd place will win $100 and 3rd place will win $50. The award announcements will be made on Friday, October 6 at 9p.m.   A ribbon will be awarded for “People’s Choice” on Saturday.
