Backyard Gardens invites participants into the gardens and planting practices of creative BIPOC growers throughout the city to discuss their relationship to food, planting, and the healing power of gardening. Inspired by the CAC’s Ecologies of Elsewhere exhibition. For this workshop, artist Celeste Treece will guide participants through Avondale’s Isaiah 55 Garden and discuss the garden’s design and powerful planting mission.
