A virtual celebration of our 27th season.
Choral music enables singers and listeners to process feelings and creatively share joy or cope with uncertainty. In spite of the pandemic, we, at the Cincinnati Youth Choir, have strived to maintain a sense of community within each of our choirs as well as provide musical inspiration for our singers.
Although the March and May season concerts had to be canceled, the work and talent of our singers must be celebrated. Their beautiful music and passion for singing did not cease. Therefore, we invited our friends and family to join us in celebrating the work of our resident choirs through our LIFTED VOICES culminating virtual concert.
As you can surmise, CYC lost significant income due to the pandemic. In fact, nearly 2/3 of our annual income was lost when numerous concerts and festivals were canceled. But our staff continued to serve our members, determined to find pathways to joy through singing. Our team members delved deeply into technology and online platforms acquiring new skills and avenues to serve. CYC has been a leader in national conversations and practices exploring teaching and safety protocols. In spite of the challenges of our times, CYC remains committed to providing meaningful and engaging musical experiences.
We need your help as we move forward. As you join us for our virtual concert, will you support CYC with a donation of $25 per viewer? This cost is similar to the cost of purchasing tickets to attend our final season concerts.

A gift of $175 will provide three months tuition for a student whose family is facing financial challenges during these difficult times.

A $1000 gift will support first-trimester music purchase and distribution for 50 choristers
