Cincinnati's Official Juneteenth Parade

The excitement is palpable as the Cincinnati Juneteenth Parade Committee gears up to host the 3rd Annual Cincinnati Official Juneteenth Parade on Sunday June 16, 2024. This year’s parade promises to be a vibrant celebration of culture, heritage, and unity under the theme of Roots and Rhythm.

Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day or Freedom Day, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It serves as a time for reflection, remembrance, and celebration of freedom and resilience.

The theme of “Roots and Rhythm” embodies the essence of Juneteenth, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and the powerful rhythms that unite communities. From traditional African beats to contemporary music genres, the parade will showcase the diversity and vibrancy of African American culture.

The parade will commence promptly at 10 A.M. from the intersection of W. Court and Linn Streets, journeying up Court Street and halting at the vibrant intersection of Plum and Richmond Streets.
