Join Rosenthal Education Center (REC) Artist in Residence Julia Lipovsky for a presentation of her work followed by an evening of art making inspired by her installation, Mural of Cincinnati. Participants will look at Julia’s paper and clay picnic and reflect on the foods that have helped shape who we are today. After a demonstration on building paper armatures, the group will recreate their favorite foods and share stories of their importance.
For each program attended you can earn CEU’s and 1–2 graduate credits for an additional fee through Ashland University.
About Evenings for Educators
Evenings for Educators is the museum’s monthly teacher professional development program. Through the lens of the museum’s collection and exhibitions, Evenings for Educators supports all subjects taught in the classroom. It also encourages a STREAM approach as well as Twenty-First Century Learning strategies. The program is offered for teachers of all grade levels and disciplines, art appreciation volunteers, pre-service education majors, teaching artists, as well as community and museum educators.

Parking: FREE. Bike Racks are available outside the Main Entrance of the Art Museum. Hook up to one of our Marcel Duchamp-inspired racks during your visit! Accessible Parking is available in our north parking lot, just past the main visitor parking lot and entrance. Wheelchair + Stroller Entry is available via our DeWitt Entrance, on the east side of the museum, near the accessible parking. Access to the Mary R. Schiff Library + Archives is available via our Castellini Foundation Entrance, just to the right of the main entrance on the west side of the building.
