The Ghostlight Stage Company presents Femininity, Fiber Arts and Fashion: A Women's History Month Workshop Series and Gallery Event
Join us for this uplifting FREE community event that celebrates women’s contributions in fiber arts and fashion throughout history. With a gallery full of work by female-identifying artists and hands-on workshops!
In honor of Women’s History Month, The Ghostlight Stage Company is bringing together several local professional artists who identify as women to lead fiber/textile/or fashion-based workshops and show their work in a celebratory gallery show. The workshops taught by Pam Kravetz, Amber Rose Ostaszewski, and Ayana Ames, will focus on how women have expressed their power throughout historical movements through textile art, sewing, weaving, and other needle works. Workshops will open with a brief lecture paired with a skill demonstration that attendees can participate in. The gallery show upstairs will feature the work of these workshop teaching artists, along with other professional female-identifying artists and will be open from 1pm-8pm. This all day event, including all workshops, will be completely FREE to attend and participate in!
