Student-led discussions of radical reads by diverse authors, usually held the final Wednesday of each month, via Zoom.
If you’ve been meaning to read more, and more widely, during the pandemic, you’re in luck: We’re teaming up with Elementz and the teen librarians at the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library to launch a new book club for Democracy & Me students and educators, WVXU staff and listeners, and any other community members who wish to discover some exciting, diverse authors with us. Upcoming selections include:
March 31: The Belles, by Dhonielle Clayton
April 28: The Poet X, by Elizabeth Acevedo
May 26: A Thousand Beginnings and Endings, edited by Ellen Oh and Elsie Chapman
June 30: Pet, by Akwaeke Emezi
July 28: Children of Blood and Bone, by Tomi Adeyemi
