Please join us for an informal and informative Gallery Talk with exhibiting artist Candace Black.
The Weston Art Gallery is hosting a conversation with Candace Black on Saturday, December 3rd at 2pm.
Black (Columbus, OH) creates cast architectural and bodily forms that metaphorically animate a specific environment. Responding to the Weston’s street-level exhibition space, Black will present a series of body extensions subjected to pressures illustrated through afflictions and protective barriers such as fire and silver mirroring. Presented in conjunction with transformed architectural elements, the viewer encounters these body-scaled objects as they interact with an imagined built environment. Accoutrements runs from November 18, 2022 – January 15, 2023.
The Weston’s annual Gallery Talk Series of public lectures and informal talks provides a rare opportunity for the public to meet the presenting artists and enjoy the ensuing dialogue. Every Gallery Talk provides a unique insight into the passion, curiosity, materials, and creative process of each artist and their discipline. All talks are FREE and open to the public. Refreshments are provided.

PARKING INFO
The Weston Art Gallery is situated in the urban core of downtown Cincinnati. With more than 6,000 parking spaces within a two-block radius, there are a variety of parking options for patrons. On the street blocks of Sixth St., Walnut St., and Seventh St. there are several independent valet operators just footsteps from the Weston Art Gallery entrance. Valet stations are located adjacent to Nada Restaurant, Nicholson’s Gastropub, and Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse.
