An autumn weekend opportunity for arts immersion, network building, and retreat for Greater Cincinnati artists (Age 21+) to create, collaborate, and generate new ideas.
The Arts at Greenacres Foundation include visual arts, cultural arts, musical arts, and performing arts.
The Greenacres Foundation Artist Weekend is a new three-day opportunity for emerging members of Greater Cincinnati’s arts communities–visual, cultural, musical, performing, and beyond (Age 21+). This weekend pulls inspiration from Greenacres’s historic architecture, nearby fields, forests, creeks, and bucolic farmland for artists to develop their skills.
Greenacres is excited to open the Arts Center to 25 emerging artists (Ages 21+) who reside in the Cincinnati area for an exciting and innovative weekend of arts engagement. This three-day event is ideal for undergraduate students, graduate students, and working artists looking to make connections with other local artists and to grow skills while connecting with nature. The weekend consists of idea-sharing sessions, two afternoon keynote speaker events, roundtable discussions, retreat and relaxation sessions, and access to both indoor and outdoor spaces to create at your own speed. Participants will be able to spend time in and around the fairy tale-like setting of the Arts Center. Greenacres is an idyllic sanctuary, guaranteed to get any artist’s creative juices flowing.
Through this Call to Artists, we hope to inspire local artists to submit applications and a portfolio of images of work, audio clips, scores, or written texts that reflect your personality as an artist and how a weekend at Greenacres Arts Center will help you grow your skills. We, likewise, endeavor to provide you with an opportunity to step outside of your day-to-day routine and (re)connect with yourself, with others, and with the environment.
Applications are required for this event and are due by August 31st. Approved applicants will be notified by a Greenacres representative on September 4th.
Please note that this event will occur over three days. You are responsible for your own evening accommodations.

All participants will be provided, free of charge:
- A welcome dinner on Friday, November 3rd, at the Arts Center
- Breakfast, coffee/tea, and lunch on Saturday, November 4th-Sunday, November 5th plus a Happy Hour on Saturday, November 4th.
- Access to the Arts Center and nearby grounds on November 4th and November 5th
- Opportunities to network with other emerging artists
- Opportunities to lead sessions on topics such as artistic techniques, approaches, or your creative process with other participants (supplies for sessions provided by Greenacres)
- Relaxation and retreat opportunities, such as guided yoga sessions and hikes through the Greenacres preserved woodland
- An opportunity to exhibit your work in an art gallery that welcomes thousands of visitors per year
