Screening and discussion of a documentary exploring the rise of Black representation in the Blaxploitation films of the 1970s

Presented in partnership with the Over-the-Rhine International Film Festival.

Acclaimed filmmaker and critic, Elvis Mitchell, and actor/director and Cincinnati resident Emilio Estévez join us for a screening and discussion. Mitchell’s documentary explores the rise of Black representation in American cinema with a focus on the Blaxploitation movies of the 1970s.
