Women in Film is proud to bring to Cincinnati the retrospective, JULIA REICHERT: 50 YEARS IN FILM. The series celebrates one of the most distinguished bodies of non-fiction work in American independent film and one of our most decorated documentarians. Emmy Award–winner, four-time Academy Award–nominee and Oscar winner Julia Reichert has dedicated her career to capturing stories that explore class, gender, and race in America. This retrospective offers a prime opportunity to see the work of Julia Reichert, who has been called the godmother of the American independent film movement.

AMERICAN FACTORY, 9TO5: THE STORY OF A MOVEMENT, THE LAST TRUCK, SPARKLE, and MAKING MORNING STAR were shot partly if not all in Ohio, and follow the lives of people living in our community. Film screenings will be followed by post film discussion led by filmmakers, crew, and/or film subjects.
