Join us at the Cincinnati Art Museum on Saturday, July 16 for a panel discussion of Mood Altering, by Asha the Artist.
The Mood Altering Panel Discussion is presented as part of the 2022 Truth & Inspiration Artist Showcase. It will take place in the Cincinnati Art Museum’s Fath Auditorium.
This event will provide deeper meaning and social context to Mood Altering, a project by Asha the Artist. This panel consists of six professionals working in mental health, clinical social work, public administration, and political science, who will talk about how racism impacts mental health. This discussion highlights the effects of racism on mental health from a clinical perspective and how it infiltrates our social systems. The panel will also provide insight on who is doing the work to make a change, and what we as citizens can do to help.
Funding for this discussion comes through ArtsWave’s Black and Brown artist program. ArtsWave, the region’s engine for the arts, created the program to provide financial support to artists of color in the Cincinnati region to continue to interpret the themes of our times.
