Movement and Voice Class: Heroes of Olympus (Third-Fifth Grade)

55-minute, once-a-week classes for young performers in third through fifth grade focus on developing the craft and technique of acting and specialty subjects including voice, movement, improvisation, stage combat and make-up.

Discover your inner god or goddess as we explore ancient myths! Realize your own, unique powers — like controlling water or throwing lightning bolts — in this voice and movement-based class. Through acting technique and movement, unleash new worlds and bring to life epic stories.

We value process over product as young actors develop skills and confidence.

PARKING INFO

Convenient parking is available in the Playhouse garage and can be reserved in advance by calling the Box Office. This is strongly recommended as parking may be sold out on the day of the show, and parking space is limited in Mt. Adams. Garage parking is $8.50 in advance for subscribers and $10 for single ticket buyers and at time of performance (if available). Accessible parking for those with disabilities is located in front of the Playhouse’s main entrance, as well as in the Playhouse parking garage. These spaces are limited and must be reserved and paid for in advance. All vehicles using these spaces must display a valid disability sticker. If you prefer to find free parking on surrounding streets, please allow plenty of extra time. Limited free parking is available (where marked) on streets surrounding the Playhouse. Eden Park officially closes at 10 p.m. As a grace period to the Playhouse and its patrons, the police will not ticket vehicles until one half-hour following the end of a performance. The Playhouse assumes no responsibility for anyone receiving a ticket for illegal parking. We also remind you to lock your car and refrain from leaving any valuables visible inside your vehicle.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Info regarding how this event is being affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.:

Class sizes will be reduced to allow for appropriate social distancing based on CDC-approved guidelines. We will continue to monitor and possibly increase class sizes if guidelines relax moving forward. We currently anticipate that students and teachers will wear face masks at all times. All class spaces and high-touch areas will be thoroughly cleaned utilizing current CDC-approved disinfecting procedures and solutions. Health checks will be conducted before students can enter the building each day. Students should not attend if they aren’t feeling well or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. We will communicate detailed safety procedures and any adjustments prior to the start of each camp session.
