“Goddess” Cheryl Renee Blesses Music@BCM with Alfresco Blues Next Thursday

COVINGTON, KY – The “Goddess of the Blues” returns to Behringer-Crawford Museum on Thursday, August 13 for the finale to the 2020 Music@BCM concert series.

The Cincinnati-born Renee, a multitalented vocalist, keyboardist and bandleader, teams up with longtime co-performer Shorty “Pullie” Starr on drums and back-up vocals for the first — and the last — live outdoor concert of the summer in the BCM amphitheater in Devou Park.  The “Cheryl and Shorty Show” will also be live-streamed on the Behringer-Crawford Museum Facebook page: www.facebook.com/BCMuseumnky.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendance at the live Music@BCM concert at the museum is limited to 50 people. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 859-727-3935. BCM members and sponsors who have Music@BCM passes must call to register in advance to be counted among the 50 attendees. Admission at the door will depend on remaining ticket availability.

The cost of admission is $5 for adults and free for children age 12 and under. There is no charge for the virtual concert, but donations are welcomed at http://bcmuseum.org/support-us/donate.

Facial coverings are required for the live concert and concert-goers should bring their own hand sanitizer and folding chairs or blankets for seating, which will follow social distancing guidelines. Masks will be provided for a small donation for those who do not have them.

Concert-goers who ride their bikes to Music@BCM are admitted free, courtesy of the Devou Good Project, but they must call 859-727-3935 in advance to reserve a spot. Parking is free. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Attendees can also purchase food by Colonial Cottage of Erlanger, KY, supporting local community organizations.

In case of rain, the outdoor portion of the concert will be canceled, but the virtual performance will be live-streamed as scheduled.

Music@BCM 2020 is sponsored and supported by Ruth Faragher and Family, Ersatz & Moot Point Railway Co. and the Alumni of WNOP Jazz Radio, Hummel Hatfield Insurance, KW Mechanical, George & Margaret McLane Foundation, Ashley Development, Johnny’s Car Wash and the Devou Good Project.
