A theatrical clown show unlike any you’ve ever experienced.
Old God is a foppish, irreverent oracle. A singer of doom. A weaver of myth. A being so old they have forgotten their own name.
With beautiful costuming, painted canvas backdrop and fancy foot lights this white face clown seems to have walked out of the theater houses of the 1800’s. Pantomime is performed alongside improvisational feats of language. No one can keep up as Old God buries the audience beneath a sea of imagery and play spinning wildly in topic but elegantly in body.
Created in Las Vegas and currently on tour, Old God Vol. II has received the “Critics Choice—Best Solo Show” award at the Orlando Fringe Festival. Old God was directed by Gabe McKinney.
About Alec Jones-Trujillo
Old God is Alec Jones-Trujillo. Since 2018 he has been performing in the Las Vegas hit show “Absinthe” as the foul-mouthed host The Gazillionaire. While living in San Francisco for many years he studied clown by day and did stand up by night. He graduated from the Clown Conservatory at SF Circus Center and moved on to study mime with Leonard Pitt and James Donlon five days a week at the Flying Actor Studio. Working as a birthday clown on weekends, he received his degree in History from UC Santa Cruz. In 2009 he began working with John Gilkey on the absurdist comedy show We Are Nudes, and later the ensemble comedy group Wet The Hippo.
