Historic Covenant-First Presbyterian Church
Sunday, February 25, 4 PM to 5:15 PM – Organ Recital & Hymn Sing
Join us as James Bobb leads a hymn festival—interspersed with solo organ works! Mr. Bobb is Associate Professor of Music, holding the Stockdal Johnson Chair in Organ and Church Music at St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN. He holds Master of Music Degrees in Organ and Harpsichord Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY; his undergraduate degree is from Capital University in Columbus. Mr. Bobb has over 20 years’ experience in church music ministries, and at St. Olaf, in addition to his teaching responsibilities, regularly composes and leads choral music in concerts, worship services, and the renowned, annual St. Olaf Christmas Festival. We are thrilled to host him for our sixth annual organ festival. The recital/hymn sing is free and open to all; a light reception will follow the program.
