She has been featured in many publications and is widely respected within artistic networks.

MARK WIESNER

As a sculptor of assemblages, Mark Wiesner brings meticulous and technical rigor to his craft, carefully handling delicate and mundane materials.

Mark purposefully combines seemingly incompatible materials as he works, anticipating an inexplicable harmony. The discarded, found, or leftover objects serve as the foundation for his creations, and through his transformative touch, these once meaningless fragments evolve into something meaningful. His true passion and dedication lie in imbuing new compositions with rhythm and beauty. Through this process of metamorphosis, these objects take on new contexts and fresh significance.

Mark is a graduate of Edgecliff College in Cincinnati, where he received his BA with a concentration in Art, and he went on to receive a Masters’s from the Athenaeum of Ohio in Religious Studies. Before retiring, Mark was an art teacher at The Summit Country Day School for 39 years, serving as the Department Chair.
