Enjoy art, poetry, and performances by over 30 Greater Cincinnati Artists responding to chapters from “Race and the City: Work, Community, and Protest in Cincinnati, 1820-1970. Hear also from book editor and author Henry Louis Taylor, Jr.
Over 30 Greater Cincinnati Artists will share their artistic interpretations of chapters from the book “Race and the City: Work, Community, and Protest in Cincinnati, 1820-1970”.
This seminal work is a compilation of scholarly essays written by several authors and published in 1993 by the University of Illinois Press. Each chapter provides data to substantiate the call for reparations for African-Americans. Using visual, performing art and poetry, our artists interpret this data in a way that will resonate with all who partake.
