The Red Door Project at CCAC

Presented by Red Door Project Cincinnati at Clifton Cultural Arts Center at Short Vine, Cincinnati OH

Oct 17 - 23 2015
The Red Door Project at CCAC

The Red Door Project has has come to Uptown! Each month the Red Door Project issues an open call to artists all over Cincinnati, asking them to submit pieces based on a theme set by the gallery. Each piece will be curated, priced and displayed at CCAC, where the entire community is invited each month.

For the first time since the gallery opened, The Red Door Project will not be held on a Final Friday and will move to another spot outside of OTR for its October show, “Masquerade.”

“Halloween is one of our favorite times of year at The Red Door Project,” said gallery founder, Barbara Hauser. “The Clifton Cultural Arts Center is such a perfect place to host this month’s show because it already draws artists and art lovers from all over the area and has long been a place where people gather and celebrate art.”

For the past two years, the Red Door Project has been bringing artists of all abilities and ages together to share and sell their work through silent auctions. The first show to be held in Clifton will be themed “Masquerade” and will take place at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center on October 23rd from 6:00pm – 9:30pm.

“CCAC is thrilled to be one of the few neighborhoods outside of OTR to host the Red Door Project.” Said Leslie R. Mooney, Executive Director of the Clifton Cultural Arts Center. “Their focus on providing opportunities to artists at all levels fits perfectly with CCAC’s mission as a community arts center.”

Over the past year people all over Cincinnati have come together to celebrate the artist in all of us at the city’s newest pop-up gallery, The Red Door Project. The gallery welcomes artists who maybe don’t see themselves as such and art buyers who are perhaps just beginning their collections to create and purchase unique works of art.

The show is open to anyone wanting to participate. All artwork for the show is due October 17th and can be dropped off at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center from 9:00am – 2:00pm.
