TLACUĀ PAHTIĀ (náhuatl. To eat. To heal)

Mycelium Speaks

The TLACUĀ PAHTIĀ is a multimedia visual exhibition exploring the healing connection between people, food and earth medicines.

The TLACUĀ PAHTIĀ project is a poetic response to the healing connection between people, food and earth medicines originating in North American indigenous traditions. As culture, science and medical institutions embrace these modalities and bring them into the mainstream, how can we learn from our past and responsibly honor the original holders of this wisdom?

This project is part of Rebecca Nava Soto’s Immersive Art/Food Residency at Wavepool’s Welcome (M)Art program that blurs the lines between art gallery, grocery, and dinner party; providing a unique opportunity for social discourse in Cincinnati.

A Community Dinner and Cacao and Art Ritual events will be advertisted in soon as part of this Residency so stay tuned to Rebecca Nava Soto’s and Wavepool/Welcome social media!
