In light of the current surge of COVID-19 cases in our region and in an effort to protect the health and safety of our community, Kennedy Heights Arts Center has decided to delay the start of upcoming classes by two weeks.

This Winter Art Workshop Series for Kids offers diverse opportunities – from marble mazes to candlemaking- for youth artists, ages 5-12, looking for ways to continually nurture their creativity and ingenuity, while building relationships with others. This series strives to promote creative community, artistic discoveries, and sensorial connections. Participants will explore of art techniques and subjects to build a toolbox of new techniques and social connections, while learning about artists and how to discuss and express artful ideas.

February 12 – Illustrated Storybooks with Ke’Monte’ Figgs
February 19 – Multimedia Sculpture with Lynne Gibb
February 26 – Marble Mazes with Terry Oestreicher
March 5 – Low Temp Candle-making with Carisa Bunten
March 12 – Drawing & Painting with Elliott Jordan
March 19 – Garden Gnomes with Terry Oestreicher
March 26 – Puppet-Making with Robin Hartmann
April 2 – Fiber Arts with Adoria Maxberry
Tuition: $120 for all 8 sessions; $20 for each session if purchased individually; or sliding scale (as low as $12 for all 8 Sessions or $2 if purchased individually)

SLIDING SCALE: Kennedy Heights Arts Center strives to make arts accessible to everyone. Sliding scale fees available for those in financial need. Click here to download an application. Completed applications can be emailed to bethany@kennedyarts.org or dropped off in-person at KHAC.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Tuition is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another course if the student withdraws at least five days prior to the beginning of the course.
All participants need to complete and submit an Emergency Contact and Photo Release. Completed forms can be emailed to bethany@kennedyarts.org or dropped off in-person at KHAC.
COVID-19 Health & Safety: Our COVID safety plan includes small group sizes, socially distant spacing, high quality (N95,KN95, KF94) masks required, HEPA air purifiers, required up-to-date vaccinations for instructors, staff, and volunteers, and either proof of up-to-date vaccination (including eligible boosters) or weekly recent negative COVID-19 test results.
