A concert of Bach and Beethoven with music focusing on coffee, hiking, and the environment.
The first production of our 2023 series focusing on music and the environment: Coffee Symphony
J.S. Bach’s Coffee Cantata tells a charming story about a father who is worried that his daughter is addicted to coffee.
Beethoven’s Symphony no.6 depicts a hike through the woods, including musical depictions of a river, bird song, and a thunderstorm.
Join us after the show for a talk-back focusing on some of the themes in the performance. Representatives from Deeper Roots Coffee and Green Umbrella will discuss coffee, our changing climate, and how it affects our communities and environment.

English supertitles projections accompany the Bach Coffee Cantata, which is sung in the original German.
