Comedy @Commonwealth presents headliner SHANDA SUNG with feature KARL SPAETH and host SHAWN BRALEY
Shanda Sung is a Bloomington, Indiana favorite and regular at the Comedy Attic, where she will be taped her first special in June. Her stand up has been seen and enjoyed through the Midwest at clubs, bars, wineries and the occasional waffle restaurant. She was featured on the album On Tour Live from Bloomington and the premiere episode of the Vice network show Hunters.
Shanda has been featured at the Limestone Comedy Festival, the Milwaukee Comedy Festival and the Finger Lakes Comedy Festival. Shanda and her lifelong best friend co-host the podcast Passing Notes with Ashley and Shanda where they teach each other about a different topic, idea or historical event every week.
Shanda’s comedy is a look into her sometimes absurd life as a mother, woman and human being, but audiences only need to be one of those 3 to find her relatable and hilarious.
Comedy @Commonwealth, Northern Kentucky’s newest comedy club, is housed in Commonwealth Sanctuary, the historic, former Tower Methodist Church, built in 1914. The original stained glass windows and custom-built, curved pews are all still on site. Now, in its new life as a Community Events Venue, this beautiful old building hosts the best stand-up comedy, music, theater, and cinema that you can find in the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area. The facility features a full sound system, programmable stage lighting, a 150-inch rear projection movie screen, and a concession stand where we serve a full menu, including beer, wine, and cocktails.
