Emil Robinson, Helios (detail), 2021, oil on wood panel, 72” x 60”
The Weston Art Gallery welcomes artist Emil Robinson with his exhibition, Evidence.
Emil Robinson’s (Cincinnati, OH) paintings meticulously render his immediate environment while casting doubt on the primacy of physical reality by emphasizing ephemeral concerns like light, color, and semiotic playfulness. Conversely, his sculptures propose new durable forms built from specific details of memories. In all the artist’s works, simple formal decisions emit a spiritual energy.
The opening reception for Evidence will be held on Friday, January 20 from 6-8 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The exhibition runs through March 5, 2023.
Please join us for Emil Robinson’s Gallery Talk on Thursday, February 2 at 7 p.m.
