Creative Aging: Jazz/Musical Theater Dance/Movement Class

This up-beat offering is sure to bring a smile to any one’s face and heart. Rhythmic, catchy show tunes will get you moving. This class will raise heart rate and tone muscles with a medium impact/gentle on the joints pace. This class can be structured for seated or standing students.
UC CCM Prep New Horizons: New Horizons Orchestra

Join Cincinnati New Horizons Orchestra (NHO) for a fun, interactive demonstration of music-making! Now in its 3rd year adults, NHO is CCM Preparatory & Engagement’s premier ensemble geared toward adult learners, most of whom are “seniors.” Many of the members have never played a string instrument before joining. The members find music making is great for mental and social stimulation, physical fitness, releasing stress and stimulating creativity. Led by CCM faculty member Dr. Betty Anne Gottlieb, the orchestra will perform, talk about their experiences with music, and encourage audience members to try their instruments.
Madcap Puppets: Aesop’s Classic Fables

In the bountiful array of children’s literature, no author is better known and respected than the Greek storyteller, Aesop. Using animals as characters, he served up life lessons and morals in a tasty and digestible cupcake of a story. After more than 2,500 years, his insightful truths are still relevant and entertaining in the twenty-first century. In Madcap’s production, Aesop recalls three of our best-loved stories re-told by a cast of puppets, and you! Stories include: The Boy Who Cried Wolf, The Lion and the Mouse and The Hare and the Tortoise.
